Any Worldox-managed file can have one or more comments or notes added. You can do this at the time the document is profiled (saved, copied or moved), or at any time after that.
Up to 5,000 characters of comments can be added. File comments then appear on worklists, in file listings. Having comments display this way makes lists longer, so Worldox gives you the ability to turn this comment display feature on and off.
Tip: If you're not seeing comments on file lists, try selecting Show/Hide > Comments in List on the Display pull-down menu. That shows any comments on listings, or hides comments if they are already visible. |

You can add comments on the File Save, File > Copy, File > Move and other profile forms. For example, say your are copying a file:
Select the file to copy, then click in the toolbar. That opens the File > Copy profile form.
Note the Add'l Comments field:
Add comments (optional).
Enter comments in the Add'l Comments field, or click anywhere in that field to make a change. As soon as you start typing in the Comments field, it expands:
Type in your comment, or click Insert Keyword to add a pre-defined keyword, in the Comment Keywords dialog.
Tip: To add a short, pre-defined comment, place your cursor in the Add'l Comments field, then press F2. That opens the Comment Keywords dialog. |
Click Apply Comments to apply this comment to the profile. Or, click Undo Changes to close this expanded field and leave the Add'l Comments field unchanged.
To spell-check

the ABC spell check icon. That opens
the Check
Spelling dialog.
Any comments added here should now be visible on file listings for this document. if you don't see them, try selecting Show/Hide > Comments in List on the Display pull-down menu.
Use the left-side navigation panel, search or other tools to find the worklist containing the files you want.
Select that file on the list, then click the Comments tab on the bottom of the screen. That opens the Comments document tab.
In the Comments document tab:
Type in your comment, or highlight and type over any listed comment to change it. Too add a pre-defined keyword, just click anywhere in the open field, then click Insert Keyword. That opens the Comment Keywords dialog.

Click Apply Comments to save your changes. Or, click Undo Changes to discard any changes just made.
Any comments added or changed here should now be visible on file listings for this document. if you don't see them, try selecting Show/Hide > Comments in List on the Display pull-down menu.
Use the left-side navigation panel, search or other tools to find the worklist you need..
Highlight (select) the file listing in the right-side worklist, then select Profile from the Edit pull-down list. You could also click Profile in the toolbar, or right-click with the document highlighted and select Edit, then Profile from the cascading right-click menus.
Note: You can edit profiles for multiple files at once. If you select more than one, Worldox asks you to confirm your selection, in the Clarify Selection dialog. If you see this dialog, choose the appropriate option and click Continue.
That opens the Edit Profile dialog for the highlighted document.
In the Edit Profile dialog:
Add/edit comments.
Add or change comments in the Add'l Comments field. As soon as you start typing in the Comments field, it expands:
Type in your comment, or Insert Keyword click to add a pre-defined keyword, in the Comment Keywords dialog.

Note: The Worldox Check Spelling dialog may appear at this point if Description or Add'l Comments field entries are incorrectly spelled or use words not in the current spelling dictionary.
