How Templates Speed the Workflow Process

Templates in the Workflow module are rather similar to the Find Files forms (templates) used in Worldox search. Workflow templates offer significant benefits:

Faster workflow routing

Templates can save you a great deal of time in creating workflow requests, especially if you use workflows often and tend to often use similar request formats/details.

Standardized workflow requests

Templates by their very nature standardize workflow requests. Aside from the time savings, using one template form repeatedly guarantees that recipients see and recognize familiar email headings. This can enhance response and compliance.

Customized distribution lists

Similar workflow requests may often go out to the same individuals and groups. Why should you handpick the same recipients over and over again? Creating templates allows you to customize and save different email lists. (As with all template input, you can change distribution lists globally by editing templates, and can also make changes/deletions before sending a specific request created from a template.)

Accuracy

Creating workflows is a decision and information-intensive process. Templates cut down on re-entry of data, and allow you to pre-select many of the choices needed for any one request. With less input needed, that means fewer errors, fewer corrections.
