Security

Worldox does not depend on login passwords/ID for document security. (Your site may use a simple user logon procedure, or may not.)

The security of your Worldox installation comes more in the form of WDADMIN - a companion utility used to configure and manage Worldox. WDADMIN can only be accessed by designated Worldox Managers/Administrators. It is in WDADMIN that:

Profile groups, field tables and users are defined and set up. This is also where access and rights are customized for groups and individual users.

Document sets can be secured separately by Worldox Managers and Administrators, via WDADMIN tools.

Access can be set at the folder level, a process referred to as creating ethical walls.

None of these things can be changed from inside Worldox itself. Within Worldox, there are additional tools for securing documents. Security can be customized for individual files, during the process or profiling files or at any later time.

Note:  File-level security set within Worldox can be extended to the Windows operating itself, via integration with Windows Active Directory.

Several notable improvements in document security management were introduced in the GX2 version of Worldox.
