Restore deleted files

The Worldox Salvage bin is an optional feature which may be available at your site. When this feature is available, you see the Salvage Bin option in the File > Delete dialog. If you choose that option, the file being deleted is moved to the Salvage folder in Worldox rather than directly to the Windows Recycle bin.

Files deleted to the Salvage bin are retained temporarily. They are purged after an interval determined by your Worldox Administrator.

To restore deleted files from the Salvage bin:

  1. Use the left-side navigation panel in Worldox to find the Salvage folder from which you want to restore files. In this case, you have to know which profile group the files were part of, as Salvage folders are listed by profile group in the navigation pane.

  2. When you find the right Salvage folder, double-click it to open that worklist.

  3. Highlight (select) one or more file listings in the right-side worklist.

Note:  You can restore multiple files at once. If you select more than one, Worldox asks you to confirm your selection, in the Clarify Selection dialog. If you see this dialog, choose the appropriate option and click Continue.

  1. With file(s) highlighted, select Undelete from the Salvage Bin pull-down list. You could also click Undelete in the toolbar. That opens the File > Undelete dialog.
  2. In the Salvage > Undelete dialog, click OK to go ahead and restore file(s). Then click OK to acknowledge the confirmation message.
