It’s important to note that this particular search capability is entirely separate from automatic notifications. Designated recipients do not have to search in order to be notified. That process is automatic, based on defined rules.
Searching based on selected notify rule/files is an easy way to get an overview of notified activity to date. To check on notify rule/files activity:
Select a notification rule in the left-side pane; that rule then opens in the right-side pane.
To search for activity fitting the criteria
defined for that rule, click the Find
button in the toolbar. Worldox starts the search.
• If there is no activity found which matches the criteria set for this rule, Worldox tells you that in the Rule > Search message.
• If there is activity to report, a wait message appears while the search is working. Results then fill into the Rule > Search dialog.
Remember: Notifications on events found via rule searching have already been sent to the designated recipients. All you are doing here is reviewing tracked history. |
Next
steps
• You can view detail on individual events found in searching on notification rules.
• You can also continue searching from within the Rule > Search dialog. Clicking Find in the toolbar opens the Rule > Search > Search dialog. This dialog is the same search form used in the Worldox Audit feature. You can use this form to search for any audited file or event - not just for those matching notification rule criteria.
