There are two workable approaches for selecting PDF-generation options in the pdfDocs module:
• Use Send To menu choices (sample here) in Worldox.
• Select Load Into Project on the Send To menu, then select from those same choice (and others) in the pdfDocs window.
With one of more files selected, right click. Select Send To on the right-click menu, then select one of these options on the cascading menu:
• Select Create as New Document to create and save the PDF as a new document in Worldox.
• Select Create as Related Document to create and save the PDF as a document related to another file in Worldox.
• Select Email as PDF to create and email the PDF.
• Select Load into Project to load selected files into the pdfDocs window.
• Select Open with pdfDocs compareDocs to compare the selected files instead. This choice opens the pdfDocs compareDocs window and loads the selected documents into comparison fields.
Many options for managing PDF files are available in the pdfDocs window. You can either click toolbar buttons or select a listing on the Action > Processing option pull-down menu. Here are some important choices on that menu:
Action |
Result |
Opens a new Outlook message and attaches the PDF file. |
|
Fax |
Opens the Select Printer window, where you can choose the device for faxing the PDF file. |
Opens the single (or consolidated) PDF file, then opens the standard Windows Print window. |
|
Save As |
Opens the Organizer Output Options window, which offers settings and options for saving PDF files. |
Save Into |
Opens the Save As Options dialog. • Select A new document to save the PDF as a new file in Worldox. Then complete Steps 3 - 13 in the Create as New Document instructions. • Select A related document to save the PDF as a file related to another file in Worldox. (See Create as Related Document.) Note: The A new version of an existing document choice does not work at this time. |
View |
Opens the single (or consolidated) PDF file for viewing. |
Tip: Selecting multiple files for output in the pdfdocs window creates one PDF. If you want each PDF as a single file, you have to select and output files one at a time in that window. |
