The Worldox WorkZone is an small icon appearing on your Windows desktop:
Functionally, the WorkZone is an OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) drop target. That's tech-speak for "drag and drop" target. You right click and drag a file or files from the desktop - from Windows Explorer or from an application window - to this icon, then release the mouse button. Worldox starts the profiling process automatically.
Here is an example of the WorkZone in action.
Email messages may be dragged from Outlook to WorkZone for profiling. If an email message contains attachments, then WorkZone allows individual profiling of the attachments as well. Many other file types - Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, voice messages and graphics files - can be profiled via drag-and-drop to the WorkZone icon as well.
Note: WorkZone is a drag-and-drop alternative to copying email or other files. Documents profiled this way are in effect copied into Worldox.
