It's easy enough to move email messages from Outlook into Worldox. But what about getting those moved messages back into Outlook - for discovery purposes, for example?
A new feature in GX3 makes it easy to return moved email messages. It's done via a new Send To target added to pull-down and right-click menus. This target choice appears only when .MSG files are selected on Worldox lists. Using this method COPIES messages from Worldox back into Outlook.
Once you highlight or tag .MSG files on a list, right-click and select Send To from the right-click menu. (Or, select Send To on the File pull-down.) Here's the new option you see with messages selected, on the right-click menu:
Selecting the Outlook: Worldox ... menu choice sends message(s) to the Manually Profile folder in the Worldox drop-folder structure within Outlook. These messages are copied, meaning they still reside in Worldox as well.
Copied messages arrive in Outlook with all original information, including send/receive dates. All you have to do is retrieve those copied messages from the Manually Profile folder:
Use standard Outlook tools as needed to relocate copied messages. You can even convert them into .PST files if needed. At that point, those messages are native again.
Note: This new Send To choice appears automatically when you highlight .MSG files (.MSG files only), and as long as the drop folders feature of Outlook is active and you have a working copy of Outlook 2003 or higher.
