• Removing Favorite Matters listings
The Favorite Matters category on the navigation panel is new in GX3. As with all other favorites in Worldox (see Favorite files explained), Favorite Matters are based on recency. Favorite Matters are related to favorite files. The difference is, favorite files are organized by file; Favorite Matters are organized by folder location.
Here's how it works:
• As you work with files, you are also opening specific folders and sub-folders. Worldox "remembers" these recently-accessed locations, and presents them in the navigation panel Favorite Matters category.
• To access
Favorite Matters, just click
Favorite Matters in the navigation panel. You should see something like
this in the area above those category buttons:
• Listings here look very much like Profile Group content, being organized into activity groups (Active, Salvage et al.), then by Client, then by Client/Matter - representing linked profile fields.
• When you are new to Worldox, just starting out, you have not yet opened many folders. So the first time you see this content area, there may be no Favorite Matters to show. It could look like this.
• As you begin to access files, Worldox tracks folders opened, so your Favorite Matters list grows.
• The Favorite Matters list changes as your Favorite Files change. In fact, they are two ways to view the same recent activity. Think of Favorite Matters as a location, rather than file-based, form of favorites.
There is an added benefit in viewing favorites here in the navigation pane. You can easily remove any folders - even entire profile groups - you don’t want to see by simply right-mouse clicking the folder or group and selecting Remove from Favorites.
Once removed, Favorite Matters listings are gone from the navigation panel UNTIL those locations are re-accessed by you through your favorites (available via selecting All Favorite Files or Selected Favorite files on the List pull-down menu). Items that are purged from your Favorite Files are also removed from the Favorite Matters list, based on any retention rules defined.
