Word 2007 and 2010 introduced many new features into Word which affected Worldox document stamping and had implications which required us to add further options as follows. Changes to these settings should be placed under the [Word-2007] section in the WORLDOX.INI file.
Option |
Default Value |
Description |
Update stamp on save | Yes | If disabled disables the automated updating of footers when a document is saved. Note: Only useful if you specifically want footers to be manually updated. |
Set document title property | Yes | If set to No disables setting of the document Title property to the Worldox description and ID. Note: Only required for integration with other applications that use this field in special ways. |
Clear stamp before PDF XPS | No | If enabled the stamps will be removed from documents when using the built in Save as PDF or XPS option. |
Quit on no documents | No | If enabled causes word to close when the last document is closed. |
Clear Footer Field Codes | No | If enabled causes field codes in footers to be removed. Note: This option is only used to remove field codes in footers to clean up legacy stamping issues. Will remove ALL Word field codes from document footers. |
Stamp in text box | No | If enabled allows a document stamp to be placed in a Word Text Box in the footer. Note: This will only work well if your document templates are configured with an empty stamp in the text box prior to document creation. |
Disable track changes in footer | Yes | If
enabled then the changes made to the footer will not be marked
when using ‘Track Changes’ on a document.
Note: To be fully effective, then the next setting should be enabled as well. |
Auto accept footer revisions | Yes | If enabled, it will automatically accept revisions in the footer. Note: This and the above option will keep footers tidy when working with track changes and will prevent ‘clutter’when comparing document versions. |
Stamp first page only | No | If enabled, it will cause documents to be stamped on the first page only. Note: This option will cause the layout of all documents to be changed to have ‘different first page’ set. Also, to work effectively with legacy documents, it will need either wdClearStampOnOpen or wdWipeFooter options enabled. |
No per document stamp override |
No | If enabled, it removes the tab from the Worldox ribbon bar that allows disabling of stamping on a per document basis. |
Enable user version button | Yes | If disabled, it hides the ‘Integration Version’ tab on the Worldox ribbon bar. |
Disable Worldox ribbon tab | No | If enabled, it hides the entire Worldox Ribbon Bar tab. |
Show Recent Files | No | If enabled, it allows for the display of recently edited files list. |
No of recent files to display | 10 | If the Show recent files is enabled, then this sets how many files to maintain in the recent file list. |
Disable Worldox Ribbon Tab | No | Will remove the entire Worldox Tab on the ribbon bar from view. Note: There will then be no access to the stamping and security options mentioned elsewhere in this document. |
Disable Secure Document Button |
No | If set to Yes, it will hide the Apply document security option in the Worldox ribbon bar tab. |
Auto Save after securing document |
No | If set to Yes, it will cause documents to be saved immediately after applying or removing document security using the above Worldox ribbon bar tab button. |
Enable content password loss warning |
Yes | If set to No, it will disable the pop-up warning messages when document content protection may be lost. See the Word Document Security with Worldox and Word 2007 document in your guides folder for more details. |
