The following is a list of the options available along with a description of their purpose and details of why you may want to use them. Changes to these settings should be placed under the [Word-Common] section in the Worldox.INI file.

Confirm conversions | None | Leave setting as the user prefers. Set to 1 or 0 to force the setting to confirm conversions or not. |
Disable Stamping | False | Disables all traditional Worldox footer stamping. |
Stamp Font Size | None | Used to set the size of the font stamp. None leaves the stamp at whatever default footer font size in the document. Note: This is overridden by a /Font=X directive in the stamp definition. |
Hide curly braces | No | Will causethe {} braces surrounding the Worldox stamp to be marked as hidden text so they do not appear on printouts. |
Hide stamp | No | Will cause the whole Worldox stamp to be marked as hidden text so it does not appear on printouts. |
Use field code stamping | False | Allows the setting of a Word Document field code to be used in specialised document stamping. The field code can be inserted at the relevant location in the document using a Word menu option and the stamp value will be inserted at that location when the document is saved. Can be used for inserting the stamp anywhere in a document. E.g. for the ‘Our Ref’ field in a letterhead, can have multiple locations in a document and can work in conjunction with traditional Worldox stamping. |
Clear stamp on open | False | Forces the stamp to be removed from a document when it is opened. Used when stamps are being reconfigured or are not required in legacy documents. Note: Does not prevent the re-stamping of a document on save if a valid stamp is defined. Also used in conjunction with wdStampFirstOnly. |
Wipe footer on open | False | Forces the entire footer of the document to be removed including page numbering etc. Normally this would only be used when cleaning up legacy or 3rd party documents. Note: Does not prevent the re-stamping of a document on save if a valid stamp is defined. Also used in conjunction with wdStampFirstOnly. |
Stamp on launch | No | Forces updating of the stamp when a document is ‘Launched’ from Worldox as opposed to being opened from within Word. Normally Worldox will not update the stamp on a launch event so as to allow for the printing of documents ‘As Is’. |
Disable update of the file caption on launch | No | Disabled updating of the document caption when a document is ‘Launched’. Normally the caption will be updated with the document description and ID in the same way as if it had been opened from within Word. |
Save current position on close | No | Will cause the Word cursor to return to where it was when the document was last saved upon opening it. |
Enable user wipe footer option | No | Enables the addition of a Wipe Footer option in the Word menus. |
Add Tab after footer | No | Inserts a Tab charater to the right of the stampe. Useful for correctly aligning page numbering, particularly when using 2007 Building Blocks or stamping legacy and 3rd Party documents with centred-page numbering. |
Open templates for edit | No | Allows the user to open Word Templates stored in Worldox for editing instead of starting a new document. |
Doc or template choice | No | If the Open templates for edit option is enabled, this will prompt the user to choose to Edit the template or Start a new document. Used in conjunction with the Open Templates for Edit option. |
Force update stamp on open | No | Forcibly updates the stamp on Document Open. Normally the stamp will only be updated on save or a manual update via Word menus. Useful where a documents have been re-profiled without having been opened and saved. |
Front End Profiling | No | If set to Yes, it will force an immediate save of new documents. |
File New Menu | No | If set to Yes, it will Open user templates options instead of a default file new screen. |
Disable use of document metadata | No | If set to Yes, it stops Worldox from populating Subject, Title etc. Note: Stamping may be slower as a result. |
Template Save as Document | No | If set to Yes, then the user will be allowed to save templates opened for edit as documents in Worldox. |
Delete template after save as document | No | If set to Yes, it will delete the source template after saving it as a DOC. |
Delete system templates | No | A safety check, if set to No, then it does not delete templates if they are in the Microsoft templates folder. |
