World Software announces the availability of “wd for EAS” Connector

Legal Tech, New York, January 29, 2007 – World Software Corporation hereby announces the availability of wd for EAS (ZANTAZ) Connector.

wd for EAS (ZANTAZ) is an add-on Connector that integrates Worldox with ZANTAZ’s EAS to Exchange (Email Archive System) e-mail archiving product.

Worldox now can connect to the EAS E-mail Archiving Product from ZANTAZ. When a Worldox user selects a Copy or Move of an E-mail and Attachment(s) from Outlook to Worldox’s document store, the wd for EAS Connector locates the E-mails and Attachments stored in the EAS Archiving System via the “stub” (or link) which is created and stored within the users Email by EAS, and seamlessly and transparently copies the E-mail and Attachments from the EAS Server to the Worldox document store to provide for profiling and full-text searching of both e-mails and attachments.

Typically a DMS user would not be aware that when they Copy or Move an E-mail to their Worldox document store (that has been previously moved to their EAS Archiving System) the Attachments no longer exist in the E-mail System but only a stub remains. Therefore, the user after executing the Copy or Move of an E-mail and Attachment believes they now have the Attachments in their Worldox document store, but they do not, unless they have the wd for EAS Connector installed.

wd for EAS is a “must have” for “EAS to Exchange” sites when utilizing the new e-mail management features in Worldox GX to avoid attachments being archived in EAS but unavailable (or “orphaned”) for retrieval as e-mails are Copied or Moved to the Worldox document store. wd for EAS prerequisite is Worldox GX release dated September 2006.

wd for EAS is available now from World Software Corporation. The cost for wd for EAS is $25 per Worldox license. This cost is a one-time only cost.  A Maintenance Agreement for wd for EAS is not available at this time.
