WORLDOX 2002 Service Release 2 (SR-2)

SR-2 Features Microsoft Office 2003 Support and Other Enhancements

Ridgewood, NJ, November 17, 2003 - World Software Corporation^®, a leading provider of document management technology, announced today the availability of WORLDOX^® 2002, Service Release 2 (SR-2). Available for download by all WORLDOX Maintenance Customers at no charge, the SR-2 release includes support for Microsoft Office 2003, E-mail Export to RTF, extended PDF Conversion Support, and Deep Folder Structure Indexing capability as well as several program fixes.

The SR-2 release includes the following additions and improvements to WORLDOX 2002:

• Support for Microsoft Office 2003. Supported programs include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, InfoPath and basic support for the “Choose Document” function of Microsoft SharePoint. Sites applying the update patch should call WORLDOX Technical Support to obtain the support files for Office 2003.
• WORLDOX 2002 E-mail Export to RTF (Rich Text Format). In SR-2, WORLDOX sites can now export e-mails to RTF format, meaning that e-mails can retain their original formatting and can be opened in Word, WordPerfect and other applications. Windows long file names of e-mails can be derived from the message subject and can be saved as well. E-mail header information is now saved in a table at the top of the message, and saved messages can be either edited or made read only.
• Support for Additional PDF Conversion programs. Customers can now use WORLDOX’s “Send To" feature with Win2PDF and Adobe PDF Writer conversion programs, as well as pdf995 and pdfFactory Standard and Pro. The user selects a document in WORLDOX and then sends the document to the PDF program to be converted to PDF format. WORLDOX allows users to choose from four options for routing the document, including e-mail, opening the PDF in the PDF program or Acrobat, or saving the PDF to a specified target folder.
• Indexing Deep Folder Structures. The WORLDOX Indexer program has been enhanced to be able to handle deep folder structures common with legacy data Profile Groups. (Data from non-DMS sources). This would not affect WORLDOX-created folder structures.
