Using My Workspaces to create, manage projects

       Create projects in My Workspaces

       Add files to projects

       Rename projects

       Delete projects

Note:  These tasks assumes the presence of links in your My Workspaces content zone, meaning you have already subscribed to one or more bookmarks, User Files folder or other profile group folders.

Create projects in My Workspaces

  1. If it is not already open, click Workspaces in the navigation panel to open the Workspaces zone at the top of the pane.

Tip:  If you don't see the Workspaces button, it may be hidden. You can tell which categories are hidden by looking for icons on the bottom frame of the navigation pane; click and drag to bring those buttons back into the pane.

  1. Now use the left-side navigation panel, search or other tools to find the worklist you need. (This may be the first of several worklists you'll be accessing to create the project, or the only one.)

  2. When the worklist opens, highlight (select) one or more listed files. Holding the mouse button down, drag these to the destination folder in My Workspaces. As you near that folder, the mouse cursor changes to indicate files can be dropped:

  1. Release the mouse button to drop those files. That opens the Create Project dialog, which references the destination folder, and prompts you to name the new project.

  2. In the Create Project dialog, type a descriptive name into the Project Name field, then click OK.

  3. As the dialog closes, you see a new project listing under the destination project, as in this example:

You may well want to add other files to the project. You can do that via the Project tab, or by simply dragging and dropping additional files to the project listed in My Workspaces. If you want to see project files, just click on that project listing to open it.

Add files to projects

  1. If it is not already open, click Workspaces in the navigation panel to open the Workspaces zone at the top of the pane.

Tip:  If you don't see the Workspaces button, it may be hidden. You can tell which categories are hidden by looking for icons on the bottom frame of the navigation pane; click and drag to bring those buttons back into the pane.

  1. Open the My Workspaces folder which has the project you want to update.

  2. Now use the left-side navigation panel, search or other tools to find the worklist with the additional files you want to add.

  3. When the worklist opens, highlight (select) one or more listed files. Holding the mouse button down, drag these to the destination project listing in My Workspaces. As you near that folder, the mouse cursor changes to indicate files can be dropped:

The project icon changes momentarily to confirm your action:

  1. Add any other files needed. If you want to view the list of project files, just click on that project listing to open it.

Rename projects

  1. If it is not already open, click Workspaces in the navigation panel to open the Workspaces zone at the top of the pane.

  1. Open the My Workspaces folder which has the project you want to rename.

  2. Right-click on the project listing and select Rename Project from the right-click menu.

That opens the Rename Project dialog.

  1. In the Rename Project dialog, change the name as needed in the Description field, then click OK.

As the dialog closes, you see the changed project name in the left-side pane.

Delete projects

  1. If it is not already open, click Workspaces in the navigation panel to open the Workspaces zone at the top of the pane.

  1. Open the My Workspaces folder which has the project you want to delete.

  2. Right-click on the project listing and select Delete Project from the right-click menu.

That opens the Delete Project dialog.

  1. In the Delete Project dialog, click OK to go ahead and delete it.
