New in GX3: Selectively delete drop-down list items

As you work, Worldox "remembers" recent choices, lists visited and other activity, then presents those items as choices on drop-down boxes to assist in field entry. Not all such recent choices will prove useful, so now there is way to selectively delete the ones you don't want to see, and leave the rest.

In GX3, you can selectively remove items from drop-down field lists. The example shown below shows the Location field - accessed on the Worldox Location bar - but you can do the same thing on Descriptions profile form fields and on many other drop-down fields in Worldox.

A simple right-click is all it takes.

Here you see a list of recent list destinations in the Location field. These are the lists visited during the current session. Perhaps you know that some of these listings would never be re-selected here. Perhaps they are failed searches, or lists you won't be visiting again. Whatever the reason, at least some of these drop-down listings will not be re-used.

Shortening the list makes it easier to find things, so removing unwanted items makes sense. To do so:

  1. Right-click the item you want to remove. That places a red minus sign to the left of that listing. (To remove the minus sign, right-click that item again.)

  2. Right-click any other items you wish to remove from list.

  3. Then just click anywhere outside this list to close it. As the drop-down list closes, the selected items are removed.

Take care not to left-click anywhere in the list with items selected for removal. Left-clicking at that point simple re-opens the selected list or action, without deleting the items previously selected for removal.
